In January 2025, the Palisades and Eaton fires destroyed more than 16,000 structures, displaced thousands of families, and claimed at least 29 lives across the Greater Los Angeles area. Phoenix is a short documentary that highlights the experiences and contributions of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women who fought these fires, shedding light on the courage and heroic efforts of these often overlooked women.
